I'm still sticking to my goal of eating 1500 calories per day (I weigh 157 lbs). But now, I'm making sure that I eat when I want to, and don't try to overdeny myself. I would eat 1200 or 1300 calories some days "just in case" I went over in future days.

That's all well and good, but I didn't like how I felt on those days. And I started to see food in a negative light a lot when I was doing that. Anyway, if you got this far, you have too much time on your hands.

So I had the lower calorie option, but because it was a bar of chocolate he thought it was forbidden, but would have happily "allowed" me to drink the hot chocolate, with it's cream and marshmallows.

Isn't it funny how we label foods as good and bad and OK, instead of looking at what is actually in them, in the context of everything else we've consumed that day?

Isn't it a good job that I'm in charge of what I eat, and nobody else?

I went to fetch the coffee while I bought the chocolate bar. According to the wrapper it was just over 200 cals, and I gave a third of it to him anyway, so I probably only had 140 cals.

Whereas the mugs of hot chocolate were made with full-fat milk, were huge, had a squirt of cream on top and came with marshmallows and a mini chocolate flake. Several hundred cals, probably.
